. : Oncology Nurses Day – Stand Proud Contest
April 2, 2013
The Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology – Newfoundland and Labrador Chapter (CANO – NL) are asking Registered Nurses to stand proud of the contribution they make to cancer care in our province.
- Are you a Registered Nurse involved with individuals during the screening, diagnosis or treatment of cancer?
- Are you the Registered Nurse caring for patients and families at home as they move through the continuum of care?
- Or, are you the Registered Nurse caring for individuals trying to put their life back together following treatment for cancer?
Maybe, life is coming to an end and you are supporting patients and their families through this difficult time. It doesn’t matter where you work – if you care for individuals touched by a cancer diagnosis then you are an oncology nurse. Stand proud and celebrate Oncology Nurses Day (OND) by wearing orange on April 2nd – a symbol of the compassion and care you bring to oncology nursing practice.
If you are a Registered Nurse contributing to cancer care, forward your name and contact information to Kathy.firstname.lastname@example.org and have your name entered for a prize to be awarded at a CANO-NL event on April 12th.
Remember; wear orange on April 2!
