The PEI Chapter of CANO/ACIO along with the RNs at the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre and our satellite Prince County Hospital will celebrate OND by partnering with CCS and promoting the Buy A Daffodil Campaign.
We also are planning a night out together at a local restaurant on April 7, 2015. This invite is extended to all Oncology Nurses both past and present. Our oncology nurses will be presented with a small gift in recognition of the dedicated care that they give to our patients. We have also ordered the Oncology Nurses Pocket Guides to give to our nurses. Following our dinner we will hold our local CANO/ACIO meeting with our CANO/ACIO members.
The Greater Toronto Chapter of Oncology Nurses is planning an amazing educational event for OND on April 7th. See poster below.
They are also planning an exciting fund-raiser for the 2015 CANO/ACIO conference in Toronto that will be held before the educational event on April 7th from 6-7 pm. See poster below.
There will be a number of magnificent prizes to raffle – tickets will be sold at the event and winners announced after the dinner. The silent auction will be a hit too! They are absolutely thrilled to announce one of their grand prize silent auction items is a $500 voucher for the winner to put towards any fantastic de Souza courses! Wow!

Manitoba -Oncology Nursing Evening Celebration 2015
On behalf of the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology-Manitoba Chapter (CANO-MB) together with CancerCare Manitoba, the Community Cancer Programs Network and the WRHA Oncology Program, we would like to celebrate and recognize this day together with all Oncology Nurses within Manitoba. This includes nurses working in specialized inpatient hospitals, ambulatory clinics, screening programs, supportive care facilities and community settings. You are all invited on April 7th to attend in person in the CCMB MacCharles Site, Executive Board Room on the 4th floor, or via MB Telehealth. Open registration has been set up with the title of: “Oncology Nursing Day”. We expect the celebration to start at 12:00 and end by 1:00 p.m. Please note MB Telehealth has been booked from 11:30 a.m. ‐ 1:30 p.m. in case we need more time to celebrate. We encourage you to book Telehealth from your locations now so you do not miss this celebration.

OND Event: April 7th ONIGA-South and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre is celebrating OND by announcing our Chapter Award Honoree.
The Tom Baker Cancer Centre takes part in the DAISY Award program to recognize and celebrate nursing excellence (see http://daisyfoundation.org/ for more details). This OND, we will be hosting our 3rd DAISY Award Ceremony to recognize excellence in oncology nursing by highlighting the nominees and announcing the DAISY Award Honoree, as well as our Chapter Award Honoree. This event has been very well received at TBCC and is supported by all levels of management. What better way to recognize our nurses and thank them for their hard work and dedication than by integrating both awards!
This year the Simcoe Muskoka Chapter is planning on a wonderful dinner at Liberty North in Barrie on Wed April 8th 2015.
Novartis is sponsoring the dinner again this year. There will be prizes and a picture video presentation of all our nurses.
