To help commemorate Oncology Nursing Day, CANO/ACIO is pleased to announce the creation of a national achievement award.
The Boehringer Ingelheim Oncology Nurse of the Year Award will recognize a CANO/ACIO nurse who has consistently demonstrated the highest level of nursing excellence and leadership. To reflect this year’s Oncology Nursing Day theme: “Oncology Nurses: Inspiring Change / Les Infirmières en Oncologie: Inspirer Le Changement”, the criteria for the 2013 award will also place special emphasis on achievement in oncology advocacy.
Award nominees will be assessed by a panel of Canadian oncology nursing professionals, and the recipient will be given $5,000 towards their further education and professional development. The winner will be announced at the CANO/ACIO annual conference being held in Vancouver from October 20th to 23rd, 2013.

OND 2013 Chapter Award
CANO/ACIO is pleased to announce the creation of the OND Chapter award encouraging Chapter to select a nurse for OND (CANO/ACIO member), who best exemplifies the theme this year: “Oncology Nurses: Inspiring Change” / “Les infirmières en oncologie: inspirer le changement”.
